What we see, what we keep, and who else sees it
Unlinked exists to make you harder to find, so we collect as little as we can. This policy explains exactly what happens to your data when you use useunlinked.com. Last updated October 12, 2026.
The short version
- No accounts, no names, no emails. We never ask who you are.
- We only scan wallets you prove are yours, by signing a free message.
- We don't save your report or the wallets you scanned.
- We keep one thing per scan: the ID of your payment transaction, so one payment can't pay for two scans.
- To run a scan we look your wallets up in public sources, listed below. Those services see the lookup.
- No analytics, no ad trackers, no tracking cookies, and we never sell or share your data.
Who we are
useunlinked.com is operated by Unlinked ("we", "us"). For anything about your data, write to privacy@useunlinked.com.
What we handle, and for how long
- Wallet addresses and signatures. Used to check that you own the wallets and to run the scan. Held only in memory while the scan runs, and not stored afterwards.
- Your report. Built on our server and sent to your browser. We don't keep a copy.
- Your payment. The $10 in ETH is a public blockchain transaction. We store its transaction ID, the network it was on, and whether it has paid for a scan, so it can't be used twice. We keep this record for as long as we operate (it's public on the blockchain anyway), plus daily backups kept for 14 days.
- Your IP address. Our server needs it to send you pages. We don't keep access logs. If a request fails, our web server's error log may record the IP address with the error; those logs are deleted after 14 days.
- Emails you send us. If you write to us, we see your email address and message, and keep them in our mailbox to reply.
In your browser
We set no cookies. Your browser stores a few things locally that never reach us: the wallet connection you last used (kept by the wallet library) and, if a scan failed after you paid, that unused payment so you can retry without paying again. You can clear them any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.
Who else sees your wallet addresses
A scan checks what is already public about your wallets, so our server asks public sources about them. Each receives the address it is asked about (for exchange detection, also some addresses your wallets transacted with), from our server, never with your IP address. Their own privacy policies apply:
- Blockchain history and balances: Etherscan, Blockscout, Alchemy, a Solana RPC provider, mempool.space
- Address tags: Blockscout's metadata service
- Names and profiles: ENS (through a public Ethereum node), web3.bio, Neynar (Farcaster), Zora, EFP
- Activity: Snapshot, Polymarket, Hyperliquid, Arweave (Paragraph and Mirror posts), POAP
- Attestations: Coinbase Verifications on Base (through a public node)
- Mentions: GitHub code search and Brave Search
Prices come from CoinGecko, which never receives your addresses. If you connect a phone wallet, the connection runs through WalletConnect's servers. Our server is hosted by DigitalOcean, our domain and email forwarding are handled by Cloudflare, and your wallet app may use its own servers (for example MetaMask's) to talk to the blockchain.
Where your data is processed
Our server is in Canada (DigitalOcean's Toronto data center). The sources above run their own servers, mostly in the United States and Europe.
Your payment is public
Like any blockchain payment, the $10 you send is visible to anyone, from the wallet you paid with, to our receiving address. To keep that wallet unlinked from the ones you scan, pay from a different wallet. The scan page warns you if you don't.
Your rights
Because we don't keep your reports, wallet addresses or anything that identifies you, there is usually nothing for us to look up, correct or delete. You can still ask us what we hold about a payment or a message, or ask us to delete an email you sent, at privacy@useunlinked.com. We don't sell personal information, don't share it for advertising, and don't use it to profile you, so there is nothing to opt out of; we honor Global Privacy Control signals by default because we don't track anyone. Blockchain records, including your payment, are public and can't be changed or deleted by anyone.
Children
Unlinked is for adults. We don't knowingly offer it to anyone under 18.
Security
Connections are encrypted (HTTPS). The app runs with only the permissions it needs, its settings are readable only by the service, and the little we store is kept on our own server, not in a third-party database. No system is perfectly secure, which is why we store as little as possible.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the date at the top. We won't start collecting more about you without saying so here first.
